Well, @matthewpallett convinced me it would be a great idea to do #BenNevis in November, wouldn't have been my first choice of time of year but, what a bloody view!

Stayed at Glen Nevis Youth Hostel, first time staying in one and was so pleasantly surprised, would definitely recommend it and would look at staying in another.

We were planning to do Pen-Y-Fan, but decided to go to Llyn Y Fan Fach instead (and yes we know we pronounced it incorrectly now, apologies Welsh speakers 😂).

Headed up in thick cloud with the hope it would clear and sure enough, during the lunch break the cloud lifted high enough for us to get the views.

An exploration around Dinorwic Slate Quarry, although Yr Wyddfa is impressive, this place definitely had the cool factor from an exploration point of view, we spent a few hours here and I think we need days to fully discover the hidden treasures in the area, caves, old buildings, left over machinery.

We hit the summit in the cloud, had a sit down for 20 minutes and in that time the cloud disappeared and the views revealed themselves.

All the kids did amazing, the big one just took it in her stride, middle one just eager to get to the highest mountain cafe in Britain and the youngest, just happy to mock the cheaters using the train 😏🤣
